Discover Your Child's Innate Talents

Birla Divya Jyoti provides considerable scope for its students to learn and practise a wide variety of co-curricular activities. It helps them to explore and expand their horizons, and help to discover innate talents. These activities form a part of the school’s education system. The school encourages the students to pursue their interest in sports, literature, performing and fine arts, crafts, environmental studies, computers, designing and general knowledge among a host of other distinctive activities. They are providedwith  advice and guidance to develop their interests which may have the potential to become full-time future occupations.

Physical Education

The school provides a number of facilities for outdoor sports and indoor games with Yoga and Martial Arts being an integral part of the school’s physical education training. The school has a well-equipped gymnasium to promote the overall physical development of the children. Recreational sports as well as iritra-mural and inter-school sporting events are held throughout the year under the guidance of experienced physical training instructors and coaches.

Art & Culture

The school lays special emphasis on developing artistic skills among students and has facilities for pottery, wood and metal work, clay modeling and other traditional crafts. Music, dance and dramatics are an integral part of school life. The school has a modern auditorium. With good acoustic arrangements. The students are encouraged to take up any activity with instructional facilities. Workshops are organised with leading personalities in respective domains to help students explore their potential.

Co-curricular Activities

Inter and intra-school competitions on music and dance, histrionics, literary efforts, quiz contests, debates, sports and athletics,photography and other innovative activities forms a part of the school calendar.

Social Service

Community Service Programmes are organised to offer students the opportunity to experience the problems faced by the underprivileged and also to teach them the value of life and service and to instil sensitivity towards others. Some of these programmes are organised in association with prominent social service organisations.

Celebrations

The students observe significant days in the calendar such as Independence Day, Saraswati puja, Rabindra Jayanti, Children’s Day, etc. It creates awareness and interest for traditional Indian ethos in their minds.

Excursions

Educational excursions are held regularly to areas of ecological, historical and industrial importance. They help to broaden the minds of the students and develop their confidence. Short educational visits to nearby places in and around the city are also arranged. A number of workshops and counseling programmes are organised to provide professional services and guidance on academic and personal concerns. The students thus get a number of opportunities to interact with many renowned personalities on various disciplines.
