Admission Application Procedure

The admission procedure at Birla Divya Jyoti ,Siliguri is friendly and transparent.

  • Parents are advised not to fill more than one enquiry form for one applicant.
  • Admission is on First Come First Serve Basis.
  • Admission to Grades Nursery, KG and Prep will be through informal interaction of the parents and child with teacher & then the Principal.
  • Admission to Grades I and above will be based on the written entrance test. Admission is granted strictly on the basis of merit of the child and is purely on academic grounds.
  • Date and time for the interaction/entrance test will be intimated to the parents.
  • Final decision of giving admission (and in which class) will be of the School based on the Test/ Interaction.
  • The Prospectus & Registration fee amounting to Rs.2500/- (Two thousand five hundred only) for the prospectus can be submitted by the parents before interaction/entrance test. Kindly note that registration charge is non refundable & needs to be paid ONE time only.
  • Documents required for registration with the school are as follows:
  • A photocopy of Birth Certificate. The original Birth Certificate will have to be presented for verification at the time of admission.
  • A photocopy of Report Card from the school last attended. (Not applicable for Play Group, Nursery and KG).
  • Four coloured passport size photographs of the student and one each for both the parents (size 3.5cm X 2.5cm) will have to be submitted
  • Original Migration certificate (applicable only for students seeking admission in class 11 from Boards other than CBSE)
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Selected candidates will have to complete all the formalities pertaining to admission such as submission of educational documents, marksheets etc within a stipulated time period (within 15 days ) else the admission may be cancelled for which no refund of fees will be done. Incomplete registration form will not be accepted.
  • The admission form must be filled up completely and signed by both the parents. Fees must be paid within the due date in cash or demand draft or through online payment procedures.
  • Admission fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Those who take Transfer Certificate in middle of the academic year are liable to pay the fees for the remaining months of the entire academic year.
  • The parents are advised to check the Transport facility before applying for admission.

Registration & Admission

Names will be registered for all classes for age 3+ onwards on the dates as notified on the school notice board. There will be no written test or formal interview for admission to Nursery and KG. They will be observed only through play way method in a group. Children will be selected on the basis of observation.

Applicants for Class I will be required to appear for a written admission test (in English and Arithmetic), applicants for Class II – IX will be required to appear for a written admission test (in English, Arithmetic and Second Language). The date and venue of interview / admission test will be mentioned in the Registration Card. Selected candidates for Class II onwards must produce Transfer Certificates from the school last attended at the time of admission.

Admission is strictly based on vacancy, age and merit of the child. The method of admission is fully computerised. Canvassing in any form will invite disqualification of the candidate. Both the parents must accompany the child at the time of observation / interview / admission test.
